As the modern age of cell phones is upon us, we have some to recognize a simple fact and that is that wireless cellular phones are becoming a must for the average busy person. The fact of the matter is that many people are constantly using their cellular phones and they find it much more useful using a hands free set.

The standard wireless cellular phone tend to come with the most modern, up-to-date technology there is and that of course is blue tooth as well as coming with some of the best cell phone plans. Blue tooth is essentially a wireless headset that people can stick behind their ears without having to worry about holding their phone to their ear during long conversations. In fact you can just leave your wireless cellular phone in your pocket the whole time. How great is that?

There are many different brands and types of wireless cellular phones so we aren’t going to be able to get through every one this article. We have just decided to take a look at the most popular ones these days.

Wireless Cellular Phone # 1: The LG-VX9800

This cell phone, although not as widely advertised as some of the other ones seen on the market today, does have a great deal going for it, especially if you communicate via text messaging on a regular basis. One of the major complaints that I have with even the best wireless cellular phone out there is that it is difficult to type a text message with the keyboard that also functions as your number keypad. The LG-VX9800 and its similar models help to solve that problem by providing the user with an easily accessible keyboard as part of the phone that mimics a normal keyboard, albeit in smaller size. Simply flip this wireless cellular phone open and have access to something that will truly let your fingers do the talking.

Although it is a bit on the bulky size, this phone offered by Verizon Wireless is a great way to have the technology of the full QWERTY keyboards at your fingertips for a vast improvement on sending messages on every level. One drawback though is the price, which can range anywhere from $199.00 to $319.00 depending on the deal at the time. If you’re looking for a wireless cellular phone that gives you the ability to compose text messages easily, this just might be the best choice for you.

Phone # 2: Motorola SLVR L7

The next wireless cellular phone indicates just how vast the design market is when it comes to these little beauties. After the rampant success of the Motorola Razr, the company determined correctly that thing was in for some of its more trendy customers. It was easy to see that this phone was geared not towards the working informational technology expert like the wireless cellular phone mentioned above, but for the twenty-something personality who considered their phone to be a fashion accessory in one sense or another. The Motorola SLVR’s main calling card is the fact that it is very thin, resembling an open Razr that has been pressed even thinner than previously thought. The features included in this wireless cellular phone are a VGA camera, as well as the ability to play and download iTunes.

There are quite a few drawbacks, however to this particular type of wireless cellular phone. Perhaps because of its diminished size, the performance and features sometimes leave a bit to be desired. For instance, the included Bluetooth capability is confined to voice calls, and the speakerphone feature can only be activated after initializing the call. In addition, the Motorola SLVR V7 still doesn’t allow reception of FM stations, which is a strange omission for a phone that gears itself as a music lover’s phone.

Inevitably there are going to be people who will find it unnecessary to purchase a wireless cellular phone, however for many people they are a must. The question you have to ask yourself is, how often am I going to be receiving phones and what is the likely duration of these calls going to be? Once you have figured this out, you’ll be able to make an informed decision. Good luck!

The history of Verison wireless phone

The history of Verison wireless phone

The history of Verison wireless phoneOne of the newest cell phone companies is producing the same quality phones as the companies that have been around for many years. The Verison Communications Inc, company, which was founded in 2000, is an American broadband company. It was founded in the year 2000, when Bell Atlantic merged with GTE. Bell Atlantic had already merged with NYNEX. The name of Verison comes from Veritas, and Horizon. The wireless portion of Verison began in 1999, as Bell Atlantic worked with the UK based Vodafone AirTouch. They were attempting to create a new wireless business that would be composed of all of the parts of Bell Atlantic. They wanted to have a common digital technology that could be used all over the country. It took about 6 months for their business plan to become concrete, and the operations as Verison Wireless began on April 4th, 2000. The name Verison was kicked off on that date, which meant that Bell Atlantic and GTE all became part of the Verison operations. This was initially the largest American broadband company, behind Cingular wireless.

Not only does Verison continue to have many of the cell phone operations in the United States, but they also own some international companies. They currently own some of Vodafone Italy, CANTV of Venezuela, and the Puerto Rico Telephone Company INC. there are other international as well as national investments that Verison has become a part of.

The next major merge that Verison was a part of was the acquisition of MCI, which was formerly known as WorldCom. This happened just as SBC Communications decided to take AT&T. There has been a lot of media coverage that focused on what would happen once Verison became the controller of MCI. There were many jobs that were created because of the merge, and there were also long-haul lines that Verison acquired. This means that even though the bulk of Verison’s business is concentrated in the East of the United States, they want to provide service to the rest of the country. Before the acquisition of MCI, Verison would have to pay companies like MCI, and including MCI, to use the long haul lines and to make long haul carriers. This would require lots of usage fees for the company, as well as for the customers of the Verison phone company. So, when Verison obtained MCI, it meant that Verison was suddenly in charge of the long haul lines that MCI had once owned. In January of 2006, MCI was incorporated into the Verison Company, with the name Verison Business. Not only that, but the Washington DC Verison Center, which was formally called the MCI Center, had naming rights that were part of the acquisition deal. Once the Verison merge with MCI was complete, Verison became the largest telecommunications company in the United States.
