Prepaid Wireless Phones

prepaid wireless phones - Prepaid Wireless: Is It Right For You?

prepaid wireless phones - Prepaid Wireless: Is It Right For You?

Just about every leading mobile phone provider now offers some sort of prepaid calling plan in order to fit their customers’ budgets. But is is right for you?

The first question you’ll need to ask yourself is how often you’ll use your wireless phone?

Since the biggest benefit of a prepaid wireless phone is there is no monthly contract, you’ll pay a little more for the prepaid minutes you purchase. But if you plan on using your phone strictly on an as-needed basis for emergencies, etc., a prepaid wireless program could be just what you’re looking for.

The biggest mistake most people make when choosing to go prepaid is not reading the “fine print” of the providers’ terms and conditions.

In most cases, the prepaid minutes you purchase will expire after a certain period of time, usually two or three months down the road. What this means is, if you buy 300 minutes today and fail to purchase more minutes anytime during the next few months, the unused portion of those 300 minutes will be unuseable!

prepaid wireless phones - Prepaid Wireless: Is It Right For You?

prepaid wireless phones - Prepaid Wireless: Is It Right For You?This is sort of a convenient way to force you to keep on purchasing minutes even if you don’t actually need them. Another thing to watch out for is a daily minimum. Many providers will charge you $1.00 for each day you use your wireless phone. So if you get a prepaid wireless phone with the intention of making one two-minute call every day of the month, in addition to using 60 minutes of airtime, some providers will also charge you an additional $30 for the month, since you used the phone all 30 days.

Not a very good deal.

Out of all the prepaid wireless deals out there, TracFone seems to have the most competitive prices and terms of service. Although TracFone minutes expire after three months unless you purchase additional minutes (just like all the other companies), they also have a one-year activation service which is perfect for people just needing a wireless phone for emergency purposes. The deal changes from month to month, but usually provides for one year of activation, without requiring you to purchase additional minutes for a whole year. Thus, your monthly cost should average about $8.00 and you’ll have a wireless phone with a few hundred minutes that will be good for the whole year.

The choices seem endless, but it pays to educate yourself about prepaid wireless phone plans.

The history of Verison wireless phone

The history of Verison wireless phone

The history of Verison wireless phoneOne of the newest cell phone companies is producing the same quality phones as the companies that have been around for many years. The Verison Communications Inc, company, which was founded in 2000, is an American broadband company. It was founded in the year 2000, when Bell Atlantic merged with GTE. Bell Atlantic had already merged with NYNEX. The name of Verison comes from Veritas, and Horizon. The wireless portion of Verison began in 1999, as Bell Atlantic worked with the UK based Vodafone AirTouch. They were attempting to create a new wireless business that would be composed of all of the parts of Bell Atlantic. They wanted to have a common digital technology that could be used all over the country. It took about 6 months for their business plan to become concrete, and the operations as Verison Wireless began on April 4th, 2000. The name Verison was kicked off on that date, which meant that Bell Atlantic and GTE all became part of the Verison operations. This was initially the largest American broadband company, behind Cingular wireless.

Not only does Verison continue to have many of the cell phone operations in the United States, but they also own some international companies. They currently own some of Vodafone Italy, CANTV of Venezuela, and the Puerto Rico Telephone Company INC. there are other international as well as national investments that Verison has become a part of.

The next major merge that Verison was a part of was the acquisition of MCI, which was formerly known as WorldCom. This happened just as SBC Communications decided to take AT&T. There has been a lot of media coverage that focused on what would happen once Verison became the controller of MCI. There were many jobs that were created because of the merge, and there were also long-haul lines that Verison acquired. This means that even though the bulk of Verison’s business is concentrated in the East of the United States, they want to provide service to the rest of the country. Before the acquisition of MCI, Verison would have to pay companies like MCI, and including MCI, to use the long haul lines and to make long haul carriers. This would require lots of usage fees for the company, as well as for the customers of the Verison phone company. So, when Verison obtained MCI, it meant that Verison was suddenly in charge of the long haul lines that MCI had once owned. In January of 2006, MCI was incorporated into the Verison Company, with the name Verison Business. Not only that, but the Washington DC Verison Center, which was formally called the MCI Center, had naming rights that were part of the acquisition deal. Once the Verison merge with MCI was complete, Verison became the largest telecommunications company in the United States.

The history of Verison wireless phone

There are many things that the Verison Company provides to its users, besides just cell phones. For instance, there is the idea of voice. Verison provides several different types of landline services to its landline customers. This includes POTS, which is Plain Old Telephone Service, as well as VoIP, which is Voice Over Internet Protocol. Also, Verison provides its users with optical fiber line services. Not only that, but the landline services provided by Verison do include long distance services.

Along with the long distance, Verison is able to give its customers something that they call Verison Web Calling, which is a service that their customers can use, in a joint venture with Microsoft, over the Windows Live Messenger Services.

Another service that is provided by Verison is called Verison VoiceWing. This is a service that is phone service that is offered over broadband internet connections. For this service, you need a DSL, Cable, OR Verison FiOS Internet connection, a regular telephone, a router, and a telephone adaptor.

There is also video that is provided by Verison. There is a video service that was launched in Keller, Texas in September of 2005. This uses optical fiber network in order to deliver over 330 channels, as well as more than 180 digital music channels and video channels, and more than 20 high definition channels. The service can also provide more than 1800 videos on demand. Not only that, but Verison provides DirectTV Services as well.

One of the biggest things that is provided by Verison is Data. Verison provides internet via DSL to many of the areas in which it offers phone services.

The history of Verison wireless phone

Along with all of this, of course, are the cell phones. The Verison cell phones are some of the most highly advanced cell phones on the market. Not only that, but their advertising, which is geared towards making sure that everyone has constant service and constant access to the services, as well as their options, make Verison a hot favorite among the younger crowd.

The phones that are provided by the Verison Cell Phone services are some of the most highly advanced. The newest models come with all of the regular features, such as voice messaging, call waiting, and the ability to have caller ID on any number in your address book. Also, the phones come with several different and newer options.

Most of the phones in the Verison network are now picture phones, which means that not only can you call and receive calls, as well as send text messages and get them back, but you can take, store, and send pictures to other phones. This is one of the more popular methods of phone messages.

The other thing that Verison Cell Phones have started to incorporate has been data storage. This is one of the most helpful options to many of the cell phone users. There are many of the newer model phones that allow the user to store not only contact information, but also photos, music, games, and other pieces of media. With these things now on their phones, Verison has insured that their phones will remain important in everyone’s lives, for a very long time to come.
